Trainer & Drupal Developer
We’re looking for a full-time Drupal developer and trainer to join the Drupalize.Me team at Lullabot. Drupalize.Me is the education department of Lullabot, and has a dedicated 7-person team. You'll be responsible for working with the team to maintain and improve our site, create video tutorials, as well as help drive the direction of, and be a voice in the future of Drupalize.Me. The position will be split between site development, and curriculum planning and creation of video tutorials. In development mode you'll be slinging backend code, working with our designer on theming, and even dabbling in some devops. On the trainer side, you'll be learning new things (especially about Drupal 8!), building out curricula, lesson plans, and supporting materials, in addition to being a smiling face on camera in our video tutorials. You can read more about what it's like to work at Drupalize.Me.

- is a great writer and communicator

These skills aren't required to apply, but are other aspects of our regular work at Drupalize.Me, so let us know about them, if you've got them.
- Online video delivery and Cloudfront CDN

- Titanium apps
- Drupal 8
Submit a Video
We ask applicants to create a 2 minute video to submit with their application. We realize that most people are a bit nervous and self-conscious recording a video of themselves and we certainly take that into account, but after all, you will need to get in front of a camera at some point for this position. It really doesn't need to be high production value. We're not evaluating your video skills here (we'll teach you all of that stuff later). You can take a video with your smartphone or webcam and put it on YouTube (usually unlisted) or Vimeo (usually password protected). Your resume and cover letter will tell us about your work experience. Use the video to tell us about yourself. What do you love to do in your free time? Who's your favorite person, and why? Tell a funny story. You can even tell us what you ate for breakfast, about your home town, or your favorite flavor of ice cream. The video is not required, but we watch and appreciate every video submitted, and it helps us get to know you better—to give a context to the details of your written work history.
Drupalize.Me is the world's largest online Drupal training resource. Created and owned by Lullabot, Drupalize.Me offers subscription access to hundreds of training videos about designing, building, deploying, and using Drupal and related technologies. Launched in 2010, Drupalize.Me is an evolution of the workshops, conferences, and training videos that Lullabot had been creating since 2006. The site provides over 800 hours of video tutorials to thousands of subscribers who watch via the web, Android and iOS apps, as well as Roku-connected televisions. The Drupalize.Me team also publishes a bi-weekly podcast about Drupal, and everyone on the team shares their knowledge regularly on the Drupalize.Me blog. Our current team is spread across six time zones, in three countries.
Lullabot is one of the top open source, interactive agencies in the world. We are a distributed company with flexible hours, but we tend to schedule meetings and expect employees to be on-line and available during a significant part of the North American workday. Working for Lullabot is probably unlike anything you've done before. To paraphrase Voltaire (and Stan Lee!), ‘With great freedom comes great responsibility.’ At Lullabot, you get to (generally) make your own hours and work from home, or wherever you like. Self-direction, a casual but confident attitude, and a focus on quality over quantity are some of the things we look for. We work from both the head and the heart, and guide our decisions by our Core Values.
